Senior Project Manager

On behalf of our Government client, Data Eaver is currently searching for a Senior Project Manager. for the management, coordination, and completion of complex program development and IT projects, utilizing agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies. Key responsibilities include:

• Setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of projects.

• Building and maintaining working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.

• Preparing reports for management regarding the status of projects.

• Developing program management strategy/plans, budget/forecast, managing deadlines and dependencies across initiatives, resourcing, and coordination of project team activities.

• Managing a portfolio of projects documenting business requirements, designing and delivering IT solutions compliant with the Ministries' enterprise architecture.

• Drafting and compiling project charters and business/project plans/project reporting.

• Managing projects documenting business requirements and delivering compliant IT solutions.

• Assisting with the development and drafting of recommendations.

• Producing and packaging deliverables for presentation to various internal support teams, steering committee, and other project stakeholders.

• Managing multiple and overlapping projects, project resources, and project governance.

• Working with Director, Managers, and project sponsors to ensure effective project communication.

• Collaborating with business and IT leadership to develop well-defined project plans.

• Developing project schedule plans and strategies, estimating resource requirements, and monitoring work plans.

• Assessing project outcomes and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Providing leadership and assistance to business and project teams requiring program development, policy changes or enhancements, change management, and communication support.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

• Bachelor degree, diploma, or certificate in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

• Available to lead frequent face-to-face meetings with clients and technical teams.

• 8 years of experience defining project scope and goals, developing project deliverables, managing multiple projects concurrently, implementing IT solutions, and working as a Project Manager on large complex custom software application development projects.

Nice to Have

• Currently active PMP or PGMP Certification.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, conflict management, stress management, and ability to work closely with key stakeholders.

• Ability to learn quickly, problem solve/troubleshoot, work independently, and in a team.

• Understanding of SAP software and project implementation methodology.

• Working knowledge of current SAP project management methodologies including the SAP Activate methodology (AGILE).

• 4 years of experience creating and managing project forecast and actual budgets, creating and managing project forecasts in Microsoft Project, developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships, exercising resourcefulness, leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels, leading change management and communication planning, working in an enterprise architect environment, working in or for the public sector, and working with information management and cybersecurity policies, directives, and guidelines within limited timelines.
